Legal and Professional Malpractice
Our trust is often placed on professionals to take care of our needs. We expect our lawyers, doctors, accountants, and other professionals to use their skill, knowledge, and training in a competent manner. When we suffer damages at the hands of a professional who fails to perform, as he or she should, the law provides a remedy. Putting together a winning case in never easy and sometimes not possible. Few lawyers specialize in this area for just that reason alone. You need an experienced lawyer in this field if you have any hope of success. We at Madison & Roberts have that experience.

Personal Injury and Wrongful Death
If you, or a loved one, are injured or damaged by another's negligence or intentional conduct, or if a loved one is killed, there are laws to compensate you for your losses. You may be able to recover for your lost wages, pain and suffering, emotional distress, loss of enjoyment of life, medical bills and other damages. Even if you don't want to go to court you may be able to achieve a fair settlement, which lets you go on with your life. However, please keep in mind that a lawsuit, most times, has to be filed within a certain time limit and special notices may be required if a governmental entity is involved.

Civil Litigation
Civil litigation is a general reference to lawsuits for damages based on contract, fraud or other wrongs, and many other civil disputes. Disputes in the areas of real estate, insurance, small business, and consumer rights also fall within this broad category, in both state and federal courts. There are often several ways to reach a resolution, including mediation, arbitration, as well as trial. You should consider lawyers who have represented both corporate and individual clients, and who utilize the latest in technology and persuasion techniques. We at Madison & Roberts have that experience.

Appeals
Sometimes it is necessary to reverse mistakes, which limit or destroy your claims. Appeals to the Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, Circuit Court, or a District Court review of a Magistrate's Decision require a lawyer with experience in the area of laws involved. It is important that you have a lawyer who knows both the appellate procedures and the actual process you went through. Strict time limits apply for appeals.

Federal Employer's Liability Act
We at Madison & Roberts have many combined years of experience representing clients who have legal claims against their employers. The Federal Employer's Liability Act requires you to sue for your lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages. We have won many cases where sex, race and age discrimination, as well as sexual harassment, have been the basis for damages. We also represent work related injury cases.
